DALMIR MONTAGNA | HEAD OF PROFESSIONAL SERVICES APAC
How long have you worked for Modality Systems?
What attracted you to the company?
I wanted to work with some of the most brilliant minds in the UC/Office 365 space, learn from the best, get challenged daily, and be part of an elite team!etings or working on our partnerships with Microsoft, Telstra and Cloud Collective.
What was your first day like?
My manager went through the on-boarding process with me, introduced me to our Global team on Yammer, and we talked about life/career at Modality Systems. He then helped me book my trip to Seattle to work on a 2-week project for a very large US customer – I couldn’t have been more excited!
What does working here mean to you?
It means you’re contributing to changing the way organisations improve their business processes through digital transformation; you’re a valuable part of a high performing team, your ideas are heard, your contributions are recognised, and your personal/career growth are taken seriously.
How would you describe what you do?
My work consists of people management, pre-sales architecture, handling project escalations, and delivering strategic engagements to some key customers.
Describe Modality Systems in one word:
What's the best part of your job?
Working with high performing passionate people who love what they do and are driven by challenges.
Describe a typical day:
I usually get in very early and check all the meetings/Teams/Skype calls I have in my calendar for that day, catch up on emails from the previous night from the UK/US teams, catch up with both consulting and PM teams to get an update on current projects, work on Statement of Work (SoW) documents for customers, follow up with customers on existing SoW’s or projects, and meet with our sales team to discuss/plan pre-sales work and current opportunities. Then towards the end of the day, I usually have calls with our UK teams to discuss various things including global consulting/PM initiatives. Once I get home in the evening, it’s time for my other passion, my daily marathon training!
If you could have one super power, what would it be?
It would be super brain power! I love learning new things every day and I read quite a lot so it would be awesome if I could read entire books in a matter of minutes, learn new languages/skills very quickly, and have quick access to every single thing I learnt over the course of my life! There’s so little time and so much to learn so this would definitely be my super power of choice.
What's your favourite food?
I’d go with pasta – I love my carbs!
If you could be an animal, what would you be and why?
I would be an eagle for a number of reasons. I’ve always admired their endurance (they can fly very long distances without landing), they can also fly very high at altitudes of up to 10,000 feet, they’ve got extremely powerful vision, are fearless animals, and they are also known for nurturing their young ones very well!
