In the first part of a new series from Tom Scott, Product Manager at Modality Systems, we explore how Modality Systems products and services can help your business transition to Microsoft Office 365 & Teams. In this episode, Tom looks at how our award-winning software add-on, CustomInvite can help you to optimise usage and improve performance of your Skype for Business communications and collaboration investment.
Since its launch in 2016, CustomInvite has evolved in ways that could not have been envisaged when it was first created over two years ago. We built CustomInvite to make Skype for Business meetings easier to join and it has become a crucial part of any communications and collaboration strategy where Skype for Business is the driving force.
In enabling you to customise the Skype for Business invitation, CustomInvite makes meetings easier to schedule and join which in turn increases usage of Skype for Business.
Compatible with all Microsoft Skype for Business and Lync 2013 users, CustomInvite includes:
- Mobile single click-to-join
- Support for multiple templates
- Display custom PSTN dial-in number sets
- Different languages
- Display video interop details
"CustomInvite is being used by over 120,000
global users every day."
How CustomInvite helped a customer transition to Skype for Business conferencing, and achieve their goal of moving to Microsoft Office 365:
A customer was looking to move their audio conferencing to Skype for Business from a legacy system. CustomInvite helped the transition by making the Skype for Business invitation appear familiar to users. This reduced the amount of training required for users (both scheduling and joining meetings) and also increased the rate of adoption across the business.
Additional features like single click join for mobile improved the user experience for users scheduling and joining Skype for Business meetings. Further features such as dynamic PSTN number sets are also making the user experience as simple as possible.
Once Skype for Business is in place as your system of choice, this enables you to:
- Retire legacy conferencing systems and simplify your IT estate.
- Move to Office 365, which gets you on the path to using Microsoft Teams.
We always listen and react to feedback from customers about features that make Skype for Business meetings easier to join. This is evident in our latest release of CustomInvite V2.38 where we have added the ability to include the mobile single click dial URL to the location field of the Skype for Business invitation.
We are constantly working to simplify technology by focusing on the user experience - aiming to provide a single invitation and experience that incorporates all technologies.
Don’t miss next week’s instalment to find out our latest service to compliment CustomInvite, OneMeeting. OneMeeting allows you to include any video conferencing room and web browser (no plugin required) to your Skype for Business meetings.
