30th June marked the second anniversary of establishing our APAC region business.
The Australia team has grown exponentially in the past two years; from starting with just me, we have increased our headcount tenfold in that time. With offices now including Sydney and Singapore our expertise spans Australia and Asia Pacific.
As part of our anniversary celebrations, we took part in and arranged a host of activities to engage the team and our customers.
Starting on 17 June, four of us took part in the annual City Mile Dash in aid of NSW Cancer Council. City Mile Dash was created by Cancer Council NSW in 2011, and is a fun and exciting lunchtime 1-mile speed race, designed to settle some old rivalries and raise funds for a fantastic cause, it is also a chance for a bit of friendly rivalry and competition between work colleagues. I am very pleased to report that we raised a total of $864.50 for NSW Cancer Council.
The APAC team then took part in a team building event, based on the popular Australian TV show ‘The Amazing Race’. The mind-bogglingly brilliant team adventure is in the style of a scavenger hunt that races throughout the city with teams travelling through staffed checkpoints to complete challenges and activities.
The celebrations culminated in our anniversary party to celebrate our success and prosperity, and to say thank you to our customers, Microsoft and channel partners.
Some of our customers in attendance at the evening event were: Savills, Schroders, Vinedex, Deloitte and HSF. We also had representatives from channel partners including Polycom, Plantronics, Insight and Enghouse.
All the customers and partners we spoke to enjoyed the night and the venue, it is a great opportunity to build better relationships with everyone in a social environment. It was awesome to all come together and celebrate our success, growth and continued teamwork.
Special thanks to everyone for coming with me on this journey and believing in Modality Systems’ vision. The continued commitment to achieving excellence in customer service and working together as a team is how we got to where we are today, and will spur us on to an even bigger team in more cities across APAC in the future.
We are all looking forward to more big and challenging projects to come.
